Antique Kitchen Imported from America!

A One-of-a-Kind Kitchen Revival

The Client Brief
“We have a kitchen we transported from America over 20 years ago in storage, which we’d love to use as inspiration for the renovation of our character home. Is what we are asking for possible, and would you be willing to take it on?”

The Challenge
When we opened the container, we found a kitchen in ruins. It had been disassembled, was riddled with holes from demolition, and there was no floor plan to guide us. Most of the original pieces were beyond saving.

So, we got to work. We recreated every detail by hand to honour the spirit of the original kitchen. From profile matching to custom-crafted trims and mouldings, every element was built from scratch to seamlessly blend with the few salvaged remnants.

Fitting this reimagined kitchen into a 100-year-old home presented its own set of challenges. The walls were out by up to 55mm, the floor sloped 140mm over 20 metres, and nothing was square. It took careful planning, fine craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the home’s history to bring it all together.

This was a truly special project, equal parts puzzle and preservation, and one we were proud to bring to life.
